Why this page exists
pkr2go translates hundreds of differently-worded schedules into one comparable format. Translation needs rules — what counts as a "deep" stack, when registration counts as closed, what a "$5K GTD" means. This page lists those standing rules so you can sanity-check what our numbers mean. The rules live in a versioned ruleset: when a rule changes, every figure is recomputed under the new version.
Weekly games vs one-off dates
Most pub games repeat weekly, so we model them as a weekly slot and compute the next occurrence. One-off events — festival days, special editions — carry a real calendar date instead, and are shown with that date so they never masquerade as a regular game.
Live status is derived, not reported: “In progress / Late reg / Upcoming” come from the published start time plus the room’s late-registration window. Where a room doesn’t publish that window we assume roughly two hours. When a room’s own software reports registration as closed or ended, that always wins over our math — but registration can still close earlier or later than shown.
Calculated categories & metrics
Buy-in tiers, guarantee tiers, stack and speed labels, and structure classes (freezeout vs re-entry) are buckets we compute from published numbers so games can be compared. The depth metrics are transparent math: starting depth in big blinds = starting stack ÷ the first-level big blind; the Deepness Index = that depth × the level length. All of it is measurement — never a recommendation, a quality ranking, or an endorsement of any game or operator.
The 2go Score is the same kind of math: a deterministic 1–10 built from published weights (structure 40%, guarantee 25%, late-reg 20%, dealer 15%), shown with the factors it was measured from and left blank when too few are known. It measures structure generosity — never a “best game” verdict or an endorsement.
Estimates are always marked
Where an input isn’t published, we either leave the figure blank or show a clearly marked estimate — never an unmarked guess. A or “est.” on any number means it leans on an assumption, and the listing’s data-quality flag records which input was missing.
Two standing estimate rules: prize pools that aren’t guaranteed are shown as estimated or advertised figures and are never treated as guarantees; and where a room doesn’t publish its blind structure, a depth figure may be estimated assuming the common 100/200 opening level. That assumption is deliberately conservative: most games open at 100/200 or with smaller blinds, so an estimated depth will usually understate rather than oversell — and it stays marked ≈ either way.
A guarantee (GTD) is only ever the operator's own published hard commitment. We never promote a soft number into a guarantee.
Locations & your location
A venue's exact location (address, map pin) is shown only once we've confirmed it; until then — or where a venue asks for privacy — listings stay region-level only. Your own location, if you enable the distance feature, is used in your browser to compute distances and never reaches our servers (see the Privacy policy).
What we deliberately leave out
No player results, winnings, or rankings — we list where poker runs, not who wins at it. No ranking or promotion of operators — listings are neutral and nobody pays for placement. And we don't list pub games in states or territories where they can't lawfully run — though a listing is never a representation that a particular event is lawful or licensed; that's the organiser's responsibility (see the Terms).
